A mini for baby

I made this mini for my sister's step-daughter. Each page is for a month during her pregnancy. My sister found such cute embellishments it made this album easy-peasy!

A few more mini albums

One thing I love more than a mini album is Mickey Mouse :) I pretty much love Disney, but nothing is better than the mouse himself. Our family went to Disneyland last December for one last family vacation before our oldest left on his mission. These are the mini's I made for the pictures of that trip. The castle mini  is from a coloring book castle picture I transferred onto graph paper, then used cereal boxes as the chip board. I got this idea from a blog called, "Loving our small town life", but it no longer is available. I covered the cereal boxes with black paper and embellished away. The mickey head album is from a shape off of my Mickey Font Cricut cartridge. I love my Cricut! I made this album for my youngest, so she could take it to school and show her friends. She loves that it is all hers. Again it is made of cereal boxes then covered with paper. I know they aren't proper acid free products but these aren't albums I think will last very long with kids handling them anyway.

My family mini

I love making mini albums! I really like to scrapbook but making a mini keeps me motivated. I can start a project and finish it the same day or if I want to make it a little more embellished I can finish it in a weekend. This mini is made with pink paper bags and I used a book technique from Kathy Orta that I saw on you tube. We had our family picture's taken with my husbands 64 GTO and I thought a retro book theme would work perfect with the pic's!

A fun beginning

My first post, what should it be? Well I love paper crafting but I find all hand made or repurposed items fun and interesting. I will be using this blog to share my crafts with others and to learn from others also. So let the fun begin!
